A Mother's day gift idea...layout...and a little sale...

Shelly has been very busy again!  She created this lovely necklace our of scrap paper and made a card to match.  I don't know how she comes up with all these fabulous ideas?

I just love all the bright spring colors that she used. Wouldn't this make a fantastic mother's day gift?

To make the flowers on the card she used my  layered flowers file.  I am amazed at how many uses my creative design team comes up with in using that one file!

Giftsoflove_sswei_CDMay

And here is another awesome layout created by Shelly, "Gifts of Love" Isn't it adorable?

This is such a great layout with memories of a wonderful event.

She has a toy that she cut out for her daughter to see what was one of her first toys.  I like the way she staggered her pictures. Of course you can't help but see  her adorable children aren't they the cutest?  I could eat them up!  I love... love babies!

The gifts all  keep with the theme. I really like the details that she added to the page. Like the ribbons on the gifts and the stitching.  Everything just seems to come together so well in this layout.

Shelly used my presents file to create the packages.

Don't forget to check out the calendar on the right.  You can print it by clicking on the print button above.  This way you will know what's on sale and coming up for the month of May.

It's going to be a very busy weekend around here.  I've got a girl friend coming to spend the night tomorrow night.  We plan on catching up with a group of ladies to make our very own Mother's day celebration by eating out at the Olive Garden.    We figured we needed a night out!

Saturday we have three birthday parties to attend to.  Then we all know what Sunday is...Mother's day.  I'm so looking forward to it!  Last year Scott filled the dining room table with crab legs, it was way to much fun sitting there eating up all that crab.

I'm having a hard time giving my family ideas to shop for me.      I don't know, it's a terrible thing, if they buy me clothes I usually return them.  Is that mean?

I can't ask for flowers this year since we might have to dig them  up to move with us.  I'm already trying to figure out how to take my pine trees and dog woods.

Then their is the expensive things I would like...but I don't want to put the pressure on them and I always talk myself out of it thinking I've lived with out it this far.  Ok then their is scrapbook supplies...I've gone down this route before.  I ask for a couple of specific items and they get me other stuff.

I really would rather enjoy the  day... Like waking up to (smelly) eggs that Julie is trying to make... And getting dandelions that Jesse picked...and watching Jennifer & Kristen help the little ones color a mother's day picture for me... I can't wait to spend time with Jason, Brian & Katie having no pressure to get anything done, for any of us.

I hope that your family will spoil you!  Have a wonderful weekend!

FABULOUS IDEAS!

My creative design team have been busy again!

I am so excited to share with you some of their creative ideas...

This adorable flower bouquet was created by Jen. It makes such a wonderful personalized mother's day gift.  Wouldn't you love to receive this?

I just love it! And she even thought to fill it with candy kisses, how sweet is that!

moms day present

Jen used my playful tags file to create the flowers. By enlarging the scalloped circle and enlarging the other plain circle.  She used green ribbon to create the leaves.  For an added element she used prima flowers.  I hope you get a chance to visit her blog and tell her how awesome this it!

moms-day-present2

Another awesome gift for mom!  This personalized cd case which can be filled with many memories on a circle album.

I just love the way Jen used the jeweled butterfly and metal as accents. Once again she used the playful tags file by enlarging the scalloped circle.

This is a great end of the school year idea presented by Rosalie. Just place your child's photo on the note pad and your done! I just love easy ideas to help us get our scrapping finished.

my class (Small)

I know we are not thinking of snow right now!  But you might be working on catching up?  I know I have many years to catch up on.   Here is a wonderful winter layout created by Jen.  She used my the snowflakes and title from "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas."

Are you thinking of sending a card?  Maybe one for mother's day? This card was created by Tina, I love the colors that she used and the flourishes in the back ground.  To create the 3-D effect she just used my layered flowers, cut them out added some pop dots and it was finished.

This would also make a great card for someone who might need some cheering up!

Let's hear it for my creative design team, what do you think...

They do awesome work!

It's about time!

I know! I expected to be back like Tuesday or Wednesday but as the week continued it just got busier and busier. Right now I feel like I'm running around saying "which way should I go?"

And which direction! We signed the contract on our property!!! Yeah... now as long as everything goes smooth like their plans being accepted by the county, we will be shopping for or building a new home!

Oh my gosh this is a dream I thought might never happen! I new one day it might but with the economic times we are struggling with I gave up on that dream at least for a little while. But our good heavenly Father had a different plan. Now it's like all these decisions to be made! And it's the perfect time since so many nice homes are out there or the builders are ready to wheel and deal!

But this is going to be so much work! We have to down size all the clutter that we have accumulated over the past eight years. And needless to say, it's way to much! I just don't know where to start!

I think you might be realizing that for me to continue at the rate I was of designing files will have to be slowed down. This week I began working on a new line which I will continue but instead of pumping out a weeks worth. I'm going to have to learn to pace my self. Unless, some one wants to help me with sorting though all of our junk? Any takers? LOL you would walk away!

Now I haven't forgotten all of you who participated in my sales and postings. I'm leaving you a special surprise for everyone in my group. So if you haven't had a chance to sign up please do so you won't miss out on these fabulous files.

OK...I'm off to get ready for Julie and Kristen's First Communion which is tomorrow!

Please keep us in your prayers that everything will move smoothly!

also, Randy is home! Thank you for your prayers and thank you for purchasing my files last week when they were on sale. I know many of you took advantage of the sales and that's a good thing!

Have a great weekend!

Look for my updated Calender with sales for the month of May.

ARE YOU READY FOR THIS WEEKEND?

CS00239

45% off all single files and 34% off all mega files all weekend long!

It's going to be a big weekend at our house!

Tomorrow is my 45th Birthday and Monday, Scott and I will celebrate our 26th year Anniversary! Whoo hoo!

And a year ago Monday I signed my contract with Paperthreads. Can you believe it? It's been a whole year! Although my files didn't start coming into the store till the third week of May. It's amazing how time flies!

I think my family has some surprise they are planning for me. I was told that Jason, our oldest is coming to stay and that I'm suppose to pack. Hmm...I just love surprises! CS00238

And we received a surprise on Tuesday, when an agent called representing a developer who is interested in buying our property. He's coming on Sunday to drop off a contract. YIKES! I'm going through so many emotions! I was so excited at first, but then last night I became over whelmed, thinking about losing all of our freedom and privacy that we so much love.

I was thinking if we moved where will Jesse and Julie have to explore? What will my neighbors be like? Where would we go that we would have the freedom to have a bon-fire, which my teens so love? Or play volley ball? Or baseball? Most new homes have barely a yard.

WCS00237hat about my cat, Sugar who loves to roam? He has his own schedule! After I feed him, he leaves to hunt in the woods. Then at some point, he takes a walk down the private drive across two properties to visit another couple, they then feed him. By the afternoon he continues further away crossing six acres to another families house, getting fed one more time.

By 5:00, he has gone all the way done the private drive to the last property to visit that families cats and to get more...you know FOOD! You would think this cat should weigh a hundred pounds. With all the running he does he gets plenty of exercise.

And then I have to think about our four dogs who love to run and play. They have so much room here! What about our fourth of July party, we can light up the sky with fireworks.CS00236

I don't know if we would be able to do that any where else.

Then I think of moving into a new home, with everything all finished. And I already did some research, finding a home less then a mile away with a built in swimming pool. A master bedroom with walk in closets, private bathroom with bath/shower and a free standing shower, the kitchen had marble conter tops with a ceter curved island and a huge pantry. It sounds so good. We would no longer have the pressure to finish this house. Our bathrooms, laundry room still need to be finished. And we were getting ready to put in hardwood floors through out our first floor. CS00247

Just thinking about it all makes my head spin! I am so glad we are going to have a busy weekend, not knowing what they are brining to the table is driving me crazy! So I'm just not going to think about it any more, or at least I'm going to try not to.

Now I got some surprises for you! First did you see the new link on the right to download a test file? Well don't forget to get it! The lace pocket with flower is a gift for you but you must not share it, you have to adhere to my terms of use even on my freebies. Just cut it out and see for yourself how smooth it cuts.

I want you to celebrate with me and all weekend long and through out Monday all of my files will be 45% OFF. But this does not include my Mega packs which will continue to be on sale at 35% off till the end of this month. CS00248

Have you had the chance to see my newest designs? I had so much fun making them! Everyone of the designs here are hand drawn. Once I sketched them out I just scan them into my computer and tweaked them in illustrator. I've been moving away from clipart so you will have personal designs.

I thought with the sale coming up you might want to see some of my newest stuff and I placed them here so they are easy to add to your collection. Just click on a package and it will take you right to the store. CS00242

If you check back tomorrow I will have a surprise for you! It's a really...really BiG sUrPrIsE! This is going to be my biggest give away ever!

Since this will be such a big give away I'm having to set some limits. So make sure you check back often! You won't want to miss out on this surprise!

Which one is your favorite? I know if you have girls in your home you might like the Enchanted Princess Mega Pack. But now if you have boys you might like the dinosaurs, or the blast off clippies, maybe the boys and toys clips?

I need some time to scrap!CS00245 So I can use some of these custom die-cuts.

I keep thinking that I will take just one day out of the week to get some pages done.

Have you seen Tim Holtz demonstrations! I can't wait to try some mist. Using his special mix to create your very own "pearlized-distress" mist solution!

I just love the new look that the mist gives to a page and now you can create the mist yourself. Just follow the easy step by step instructions by clicking his link.

CS00243

I already have the grungeboard and the inks, I just need to pick up a few some perfect pearls in heirloom gold. This technique would be awesome when using any of my muse files like a "Muse of Nuts & Bolts" , or one of my borders like the Enchanted Princess border. What would be really cool is to use my chandelier die-cut as a mask. Maybe next week I'll get to this.

Now come back tomorrow and you may have a chance at some surprised and on Monday I'll even have more.

A Mother's Day for her to remember...

I love little mini-albums, don't you?

I just can't get enough of them!

They are fun, easy to create and hey they can fit right in your purse to share your new creation.

CS00244

They also make great gifts.  I remember my sisters face when I presented her with a special mini-album I made.  She couldn't get over the time  that I spent on making something for her and she shows it off to everyone!   She is so proud of it and most of all it shows her I much I care!

This mother's day make your mother a special mini-album. Like the one  I designed.  It's  a tag mini-album that can be put together pretty darn  fast.

Just cut out your tags,  they are all perfectly sized at 4 X 4".   Place  some pictures and titles,  punch some holes then pull some ribbon and fibers through and your done!

I think she will love it!

And if you are like me, who's mother has passed, treat your self this mother's day, to creating some special memories of your mother with a mini  album dedicated to your mother.

I did this for my self a couple of years ago.  With a board book I made.  I found  so much healing and it brought about so many  questions that I had never thought of.  I found my self seeking others to get the answers. What a surprise it was for many of my mother's friends when I called.  They were so happy to talk about the little things she did.  Each one of them had a special memory that they no longer have to keep in their hearts.  It is now preserved in writing.

I enjoyed every minute that it took for me to make this album.  I will treasure it all of my life.mom

But most of all I have a wonderful treasure to be handed down from generation to generation.  A treasure for my family to know a little about my mother, their grandmother, their great grandmother.

And last but not least...

You guessed it Shae it's Doreen another talented Creative Design Team member.

A little about me…

I am a happily married, stay-at-home mom with 2 children, a 22 year old daughter and an 8 year old son. I also have 4 furry kids… 3 Maine Coone cats and a Rottie. We live near Charlotte after moving from northeast Pennsylvania 2 years ago.

I started scrapbooking when my daughter was a senior in high school. She was captain of her high school state championship field hockey team. I just had to document that exciting time in her life. I love everything about scrapping from shopping for supplies and the newest items on the market and then organizing all my stuff, to creating layouts. And let’s not forget about meeting so many wonderful people. I am always looking to learn something new about my craft. My style is eclectic. I got my knk last summer and have been kutter krazy ever since.

I also enjoy decorating my home, reading, cooking, movies and …did I mention shopping?!

MY FANTASTIC CREATIVE DESIGN TEAM!

Ta-Da! I want to introduce you to a very talented group of ladies! I am so blessed to have each one! They work so hard at creating such awesome layouts/cards and projects that will give you inspiration. You can see most of their work in the gallery or on my blog! I hope you take time to get to know them! Thank you team for sharing your gift of talent with us all!

*news flash***I still have one more to introduce you to***she is just as special as the rest! Watch for her in the upcoming days.

I grew up in Iowa, I am the oldest of 5. I have a Masters degree in Exercise Science, but would rather scrapbook than exercise....giggle....giggle...

I fell in love and married a Canadian Hockey player. We lived in Winnipeg Manitoba for 7 years and froze our little behinds off. We are now back in Iowa where the weather is a little more moderate.

I am a mother to 3 children (who grace most of my pages). I am a Christian, Certified Athletic Trainer and I teach at the community college. I have been scrapping for about 8 years, have been really serious about it for the last 4. I have owned my Craft Robo for just over 1 year and could not scrap without it.

I have been scrapbooking for almost 10 years. I truly enjoy the craft! Before getting into scrapbooking I have dabbled in just about all aspects of crafting from crossstitch to decorative painting. I think that is why I love Scrapbooking so much since it involves many aspects of crafting...I can incorporate my love for painting, buttons you name it anything goes well on a scrapbook page.

Recently, I started designing cards too! It is great to have a handmade card to give to someone instead of spending all that money on store bought not so personalized cards! I am just starting to delve into digital scrapbooking too and hope to mix some digital elements into my traditional scrapbook pages.

I purchased my digital cutter as a impulse buy when I saw the infomercial on QVC around Sept 2007. This was a scary thing for me to spend so much money on a thing that simply cuts paper. However, I am so glad I made the purchase. It has enriched my life so much! I can't image living without it! I even have started designing my own files for sale at Cuttersmarket. I am loving all the people I am meeting through my cutter groups!

I have two adorable children an 11month old baby girl and a 4 year old boy. They keep me busy but life would be so boring without them! I love them and my hubby of almost 11 years more than words can express.

I live with DH Jeff and our two boys (Christopher
age 5 & Michael age 2) and our two beagles (Reuben and
Daisy) in Iowa. I've had my CraftRobo for 2 years and
love this excellent excuse to use it more!

I've scrapbooked since 1999 and have recently delved into
digital/hybrid a bit also. I'll never give any of it up; I just love to learn new things all the time:)

I work "partial part time" as a PA/physician assistant at my local Fast Track/ER and one evening per week at the Free Clinic.

I try to keep up with friends and family at my blog:
http://scrappingabyss.blogspot.com/

My name is Jennifer and I have been scrapping since 1996. It started out as a way to meet new people since I married my military hubby and moved thousands of miles away from my family and friends but it has really evolved into a passion for both creating great pages and collecting cool stuff.

My family is the main focus of my pages and includes my hubby,
two boys and lazy beagle dog. I tend to scrap chronologically and I am always way behind. Some of my favorite scrappy things are paper, clear buttons, sewing and did I mention paper.

Born in Vermont, Lived in New York until age of 9 moved to Florida and have lived here since. My mother and other relatives were creative and did a lot of crochet. I began scrapbooking in High School only I didn't realize that what I did was actually a hobby. LOL..

I am Happily Married to the most wonderful man in the world. Ladies, I don't think they make many like my wonderful hubby but I am sure you feel the same about yours... But I am spoiled rotten... I have three wonderful children all boys. Jake(18) Bret (18) No they aren't twins. Bret is my stepson but I love him like my own :) and Thomas (14).

I am a Computer Network/Software Technician for a School District so at times between work and family things can get a little busy and crazy.

I am so proud to have been one of the chosen ones to be on Carrie's Design Team. What a great opportunity and Carries files are great! Check em out!

Goodnews

Jenny called this evening and her father has taken a good turn! Whew...he is still in ICU but they believe he will recover. The doctors told her today that they really expected him to die, but now that he is turning around they thought they could tell her that they really believe this is a miracle!

The antibiotics are working and reducing the pneumonia, it's not all gone but it is doing it's job. Jenny said when she first walked in he gave a little wave from his hand and that's when she knew the worst was over.

I told her how many of you are praying for her father and her family, she was amazed with your kindness and compassion and wanted me to tell you thank you!

And I thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Now that' good news!

Here they come...don't let them BITE YOU!

Well here are my new babies...

I think these guys are one of my favorites so far...what do you think? And what's missing...hmmm I think I forgot some sort of file to go with it...what might it be? Do you know what's missing?

Let me remind you there is still just one CDT to be spotted. Here are the CDT members you have guessed so far Rosalie, Tina, Cherie, Jen, Shelly. I'm really enjoying giving out the files.

My heart is heavy tonight after receiving a phone call. One of our friends, Randy is in the ICU ward, in critical condition. He was sent home yesterday from the hospital after six days recovering from a very serious surgery. He is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and in the fourth stage. The cancer had spread to his lymph nodes, liver and other organs. Most of his liver was removed along with other organs during surgery. He seemed to be doing very well recovering in the hospital.

BUT the insurance company had informed the doctors that they were through covering him and that if he were to stay the three more days they would not cover his expenses. Even though the doctors believed he was going home to soon. So Randy went home.

In the middle of the night he started having problems. He now has aspiration pneumonia and a very serious infection which is through out his entire body.

We met Randy through his daughter Jenny who is like my own daughter. I am very proud of Jenny as I've watched her grow from a young girl into a wonderful wife and mother. We started a tradition at our home on the fourth of July with a barbecue then we would all go to a park to watch the fire works.

I really met Randy as a teenager. We figured that out one evening. He was on staff at the skating rink that I use to go to as a teenager. It's kind of funny, I can remember that "guy" who use to help us learn to spin, as we held hands and would skate in a circle then set us on the floor as we would spin round and round. Yet, I still can't put it together in my mind that they are the same people?

Please pray for him, Jenny and the family as we wait and hope. May God's will be done.

Thank you,

Carrie

hOt..hOt...hOt...

shhh...my house is so very quite...I'm like wondering if I'm in the right place?

I just got Julie and Jesse to bed. They were exhausted! They got lots of fresh air playing outside today. I'm so glad that spring is here and they can get out and explore!

After dinner we played Old Maid...can you believe it? OLD MAID! Julie and Jesse had never played. Now who do you think had the Old Maid first? Of course me! But as an adult I had an advantage, so I thought! It was a good plan that I just thought like them.

Here is what I did. I would just slide the Old Maid up and they would take it. It didn't take them long to figure that one out. So then I slid the card down and guess what? They were fouled again! But of course as they watched it didn't take long.

Soon Jesse had his own idea. He started taking the end card, which I thought was pretty smart. During the time the Old Maid was in someone else's hand, I took note of how he continued to feel safe by pulling that end card.

Finally, when I had the old maid and had her all set on the end, he grabbed the middle card. Now my theory was blown to pieces.

Julie had her own way of playing she just closed her eyes and pulled a card. Actually that was a good plan because I lost!

The biggest challenge in playing was to try and teach Jesse that he needs to keep quite when he draws a card. If he drew a "safe" card, up his arm would go then quickly he would pull his elbow into his side while making a fist and saying "YES"! On the other hand if he drew the old made he would sigh.

We had a great time playing Old Maid and tomorrow they want to learn crazy eights, now that should be interesting!

***********************************************************************

Are you wondering about the next line and who might have or may not have guessed the right answer? Well, one of you is red HOT! I am so surprised at how quick that went. But I'm going to be a stinker! I'll tell you who tomorrow night because I want to show you the line!

Well that's just plain mean you say? Ok...do you want me to be mean or make Mega files? I figured that with the house quite right now. I can turn my attention to pulling together one, two or maybe three Mega files. Unfortunately, I don't have time to do both. I really want to get in bed before midnight!

So tomorrow night I will give you the answer and I want to get to your emails! I see some of you have already contacted me so know that I will get to you then. Also, I will announce the consolation prize for all of you who at least tried!

Have a wOnDeRfUl night EveryONE!

See ya tomorrow...

Let's just say some of you are cold and some are luke warm!

I really have a good excuse! The convention really wiped me out! I just wanted to come home and crash. But my little Lexi was here, that's my grand daughter, a little busy bee. Lexi is sixteen months old and into everything so we all took turns in playing with her.

Although, I have to say Scott is her very favorite. She just loves her Papa! By evening we had a yard full of kids from the neighborhood, since the weather was so nice. They were every where and hard to keep up with. So by the time we sent them home we just crashed!

Then my beautiful Sunday which was absolutely gorgeous outside with sunshine and warm spring weather I had to stay in and secure my computer. Lots of weird wacky stuff was going on with it. I was afraid that it would crash!

Once I spoke to my brother in law who gave me a check list of to do's I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. And I took advantage of a peaceful house since Scott took the kids fishing. They were home way before I finished the job. Sometimes these computers can be a big pain in the rear!

So have you cleaned up your computer? I'm talking about inside and out. Man does it collect dust! I had already lost one computer a few years ago from getting over heated and that was caused by dust so I do schedule to clean it every six months.

How about scanning for viruses, checking ports to make sure they are not being accessed? Or trojans, that' s the last scan I have to do today. Then theirs the cleaning the disk drives and defragmenter all of this takes so much time but I'm good to go! With a healthy check up!

OK so I have some things going on...

Guessing another CDT- Yep Rosalie is one of them so Lisa please email me from my blog with your choice in files. Shae- your right to guess tulip918- that's Rosalie and Tina is gadgetgrl, but others have already submitted their names. I'll still give you a file for trying though!

NOW...for my next files....not gardening! Sorry but contact me for a prize!

Ah...another hint maybe?

Bones...they have bones!

He-he-he this is way to fun!

Thanks ladies and keep trying someone will get it and I promise tomorrow I will give you another hint. Unless of course you guess at least the theme of the files...

Ok...I know I'm getting behind...but please give me a break! I just finished last years taxes and I always get so stressed till they are done! It is crazy with Scott having his own contracting business it's enough to send you in a whirlwind! But I survived... while I was about half way through I realized two things.

#1 How much I love that guy! My husband, to have to work all week long, week after week rehabbing homes and then have to keep up with all this paperwork!

#2 We needed help so I stopped and ordered QuickBooks Pro...now the scary thing...I have to learn to use it! OH...well it's always good to learn new things isn't it?

In the mist of all the craziness Doreen took me by total surprise by sending me this layout. It really brightened my day! What do you think? Isn't it fantastic how she changed the whole look of the Enchanted Castle? I love this whole layout! I just had to share this with you!

Tomorrow I'm going to the CKC-St. Louis Scrapbook Convention! WHOO HOO!

I just can't wait to see all the new products! It's always such a special time for me and my girl
friend, Michelle to get away and do some serious shopping. Although I haven't had a chance to Scrapook in a long time! But I'm always up for shopping and hunting out the new tools. Three years ago was my very first time at a Scrapbook convention! That's where I saw the Wishblade for the first time! I remember how excited I was and with in a couple of weeks I was cutting out titles!

Did I mention cutting some titles?

My cutters now have some of my newest line...

I worked on some really exciting files that I can't wait for you to see.

I'm thinking I'll give you a little hint each day until they
are in the store.

If you guess any one of the new files coming
out I'll give it to you.

OK...so let's see

First hint...You would cut these in earth tones!

Gosh If anyone one was to answer correctly to that!!! They deserve the whole line...
I'm such a stinker...tomorrow you will get another hint.

OK...I better go we leave early in the morning. Hopefully, I won't be to exhausted tomorrow night I have more to share from my CDT's.

Have a great weekend and HaPpY ScRaPpInG!

No fooling around on this APRIL FOOLS!

Thank you to everyone who participated in my sale on Saturday & Sunday!

I received many emails that you had fun shopping and picking up some new files!
I hope to see some of your creations with them and if you share... remember you will
get a free file! If you need some inspiration to help you use a file check out my section in the
Paperthreads gallery.

Much is going on...I'm planning on attending the REGIONAL Scrapbooking Retreat weekend! I am so excited to have a chance to meet some of you! I am presently working on an album for a class that weekend. I think my album should be finished by the end of next week, if all goes well, I will post some pictures. You know I have to say, "if all goes well", as a mother of seven I always have to make room for delays because I do expect the unexpected...he he he.

Converting files from AV8 to WPC...whew! this is like taking me forever to do. Since I only have one chance to switch what's in the store. I am going through everyone of my files and coloring the lines. It's amazing how my files have progressed in a year. I plan on beginning to upload them next week so at least by the end of April all of my files will be available in the WPC format.

BTW- Did you know that my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY is this month? I never would have thought that I would have over 200 files in the store. And I feel so blessed... I have met so many wonderful supportive people through Paperthreads! I just love the LO's you have shared and the emails it's really been a fun year for me and I want that to continue.

SO...I'm planning some special things this month to celebrate! Keep a watch out for my post!

You know I like to leave presents, right!

Well...Did you see the present in the right side bar? It was a gift to me created by one of my CDT's...the little avatar that says "I (heart) Carrie's Creations". Isn't it outrageously cute!

Jen made me this to share with my customers, I put a link next to it for you to download. You can place the avatar in your signature or on your blog. Not only did she created this little bumper sticker for me but she made one for everyone of my team members, all six of them! You should see them soon popping up in the gallery, forum and who knows where? If your spotted any time between now and April 15th using the "I (heart) Carrie's Creations" you will win my flip-flop album! So watch your PM in the upper right corner when on the forum you might have been spotted by one of my CDT's!

Talking about my CDT's... I still have one yet to be discovered so if you want a free file keep your eye out for that new member! Post her name under my comments here and you could receive one free file if you guess right, excluding any super or Mega packs.

Once my CDT's have all been discovered...I'll introduce you to each one of them...I can't wait they all do such awesome creative work!

Special note *Yesterday I tried several times to send out the files that were requested by Shae and Bernzee who spotted some of the team. For some reason I am having trouble sending out attachments. I had to give up on trying to find out the problem because of family duties but will work on it tonight. One thing, please email me the format that you need the files in by clicking on the email below my name. I might be able to troubleshoot the problem if you send the mail there, rather than boggle my mind on sending issues with outlet! Sometimes the computer can be a big pain!

I have a few more Amusement Park themed files to get into the store...so excited about them. I'll upload some pics. tomorrow so you can see. Then that's it for this week I've been taking advantage of the gloomy days to finish our taxes and get this house in order...You know summer's around the corner and we will be running!

Eye Candy

LO's by Jen

Isn't this an amazing LO!
I love Jen's use of the grays, pinks and purples and how she used the frame to create the couple as the focal point. Do you see my chandelier? Jen took the Chandelier and cut it out on a transparency and then covered it with a sprinkling of glitter. It makes the page look so glamorous!

How about this one! It's just as amazing as the first.
What a creative idea Jen had to cut the chandelier out of music paper.

Layout by Doreen

Amusement Park: Roller Coaster with Titles CS00215

Doreen surprised me with this AWESOME layout! "Fairly Odd Family"...look how much fun SHE is having on the kiddie roller coaster! Doreen used my Roller Coaster from my newest line of Amusement Park die-cuts. I love the way she placed the brads along the top of the coaster and on the arrow! AND added some BLING to the coaster cars with shiny beads.

jUmPiNg FoR jOy!

I was so happy when I logged on tonight and saw that Shae & Bernzee guessed two more of my CDT's!

Here was what I found:
Carrie,
Is it Cheri?
Shae

Carrie,
Are your 2 designers: Cheri (layout with the chicks)and RMEYFE (layout reach for the stars)?
bernzee

BTW-that's Jen!

So Shae and Bernzee get to do some free shopping! Email me the file you want along with the format you need and I'll send them right over.

So what do you think about the layouts? I think they are AwEsOmE!

Jen created this colorful layout using my Blast OFF file, CS00087!

I am amazed at how Jen used so many die-cuts on this LO and it works so well together. Did you notice the journaling in the star? What a great idea! And her little cutie-pie in his homemade space suit he looks like he's ready for NASA!

Are you curious to see more of her LO's check out her blog!

Random Thoughts by Jen

Cheri totally took me by surprise on this one when she only requested my "Chick" file. I was thinking "OK...hmm...only the chick..."

Then when she sent me this LO I was blown away.

Do you want to see Cheri's blog? The Scrapping Abyss

It's kind of funny Jen uses a large file with many dies and pulls it off very tastefully and Cheri does the same but with just one little die-cut. That's why they are on the team...let them know what you think about their LO's.

Another reason I am jUmPiNg FoR jOy is my newest design! A flip-flop album and it will be in the store for the sale. CS00225

This little album is so cute! You can carry it in your purse and have it full of photos from the beach! It's so easy to make! Or you could enlarge the die-cut and make a very interesting conversation piece for your coffee table and fill it with pictures!

The file contains the cover, inserts and back, a flower, the toe thing-y
along with the title "flipflop". Which will allow you to create many different looks with just one file! The cover and back are designed like a card which you could send out invitations for a summer party.

You can leave it bound together by the fold and place a few inserts to bind with ribbon. Or you can take a craft knife slice the fold and have an album to place numerous inserts.
It's all about what you can do with it!

My daughter Katie had a fit over it and wants to make one for herself and her friends to place the photos from their spring break visit to the beach.

And finally I keep forgetting to tell you! I am in the process of converting files over to the WPC format, I know many of you will be thrilled! NO MORE AV8! So far all of my Amusement Park and the flip-flops have the WPC format and I will announce when the files are switched out.

OK something cute to share!

I was working on a Pirate Ship Ride for the Amusement Park line Jesse came over and sat next to me. He became interested in what I was doing. I was telling him all about the new file as he starred at the computer and watched me draw out the head of the dragon.

Then he looks up at me very seriously and says "Mommie, when you grow up are you going to be an artist?" I just love children! I guess that's why I surrounded my self with them, especially the little ones they say the most innocent things.

Have a good night,

Carrie

The Quest for spotting new CDT's

Am I driving you NUTS? Are you on an endless quest for my newest Creative Design Team? I didn't mean for it to be so difficult but it's turning into something fun for me...he he he. I'm such a stinker. The emails and guesses are coming in some are right.

This reminds me of our Easter egg hunt, we had 74 eggs that were placed out in the yard. The children ran around looking all over laughing and giggling as they picked up the "apparent" eggs. And when they came up back with 68 eggs all of us adults had to chuckle as we sent them out to continue the hunt. Each egg had different prizes too! Just like looking for the "new" CDT's, we had a dollar in one egg coins in many others and of course some candy.

That's how this little quest is coming along... some of the guesses where like finding eye "candy" with the talented work that others have shared. And some of you found some coins. And then their is the big "Prize", like the dollar for the children.

So far I have one "new" CDT found and some good guesses!

Here are some of the guesses for my newest CDT's:

Shelly, she is very apparent like the "eye" candy in her creative work and I suppose she wasn't officially announced so some of you thought that I was talking about her but she has been around a little more than a week. I will still give you a free file for guessing. I just love Shelly's work she is so incredibly talented and always surprising me with new ideas!

Now as for Nikki, she never was on my CDT. From time to time she would send me a surprise in my email saying this is what I made with one or two of your files.

Jen...nope not Jen, but I love it when she shares her talent with all of us!

And it's not Susie... she also likes to show what she has created with one of my designs.

So who has found one of the designers....Ready the email that I received below...

Isn't Tina Mansfield one of them?
She is great. Love that gal and all her ideas.

Debi

Yeah Debi! You got it girl! That's right one of my newest CDT's is Tina Mansfield and you get to choose a PRIZE! Any file from any one of my creative designs except a mega file you get to receive!

That means that their are two new CDT's out there to be spotted...Will you find them?

HaPpY HuNtInG!
