I can't believe Christmas is almost here!

Greetings from the Schwartz family!

I hope that all is well with you and your family!  It has been a very long time since I've posted, designed or interacted with any of my Paperthreads customers.  I really miss all of you!

Our life has changed drastically while continuing to care for my husband Scott.  He is on his fourth regimen of chemo, they are trying a new medicine to fight off the tumors that are growing.  It has been a challenge for us all but we are all so thankful for each day that we have with him.

I am so very grateful for the continual prayers!

My Christmas files are all 40 % off!  You can click on the link in the upper right corner to see if you could use a file or two to help you create some Christmas memories.  Have a wonderful Christmas!  ~ Carrie

Sneak Peek of new files...

I'm sorry that I left you all hanging! I didn't realize how busy this weekend could get when I posted to guess my next theme. Since Scott was feeling better we took advantage of being invited to some friends where we played corn throw and roasted marshmallows, then on Saturday we had some friends over and Sunday we took off to the park then the drive-in to see "Toy Story 3" with the weather so nice we had to take advantage of it.  On Monday we had a friend offer to help get some much needed work around the house.  Yep it was busier then I anticipated and we began the weekend with no plans.

Here are the files:

"Center Stage"

In this file you will find some  curtains (that cut in three pieces) with two different sets of toppers, two sets of stage light cans and the spot light. The picture to your left and below are showing the valance styles of the curtains.

The top picture shows a swag scalloped valance  where the picture to your right shows a more straight valance with scallops.  I created two sets so that you can use them according to your needs.  If you need more room then maybe the second valance will work better.

Each file was created for a 12 X 12 page although for saving purposes I have shrunk them by 20%.

Pages using "Center Stage"

Tamba, created the next two pages using some of the files found in the "Center Stage" package.

She created this wonderful title page by cutting three velum over lapping them and placing her title it really makes for a classy page.

Her she used the top spot light cans to add a special touch for another page.

It looks so professional!

 "All the World's a Stage"

This is a fun file with musical notes, drama mask and the title
"All the World's a Stage".

You can use all of the die-cuts in this or just one to add that special touch to your page.

"Microphone"

Every stage needs a microphone!

This file come with the pieces to complete on microphone and a microphone with it's stand.

Once you've cut the pieces it's so easy to put together to create the page you want.

"Stage Set"

I just love the way this file came out! It was inspired by Tambra's title page. Although these lights can be set any where. Flip the lights upside down and you can direct the lighting from the floor.

This file contains: three light cans, three spot lights (already angled for ease of placement), a microphone and stand and an audience.

I was amazed at the response to the post when I sat down this morning to read and look at everyone's guess.  If you didn't have a chance to look the guesses where: gymnastics, circus, marching band, school orchestra, choir, magic, sports, band, ballerina, dance, Cirque, Nutcracker, theater, theatrical, mime, Ringling Bros. Circus, dancers, on stage, drama, film, talent show and American Idol.  Wow!  What great guesses since these do fit being performers in one way or another

Although the guesses where really good we have to stick with the original idea of my theme which was created for theater, stage, drama, choir but considering that dancers and talent shows are performed on the stage I will accept the those.  So I need a favor from you ladies if you could please (I've lost many emails when my computer went down) email me so I can send you one of the four files, in that email place in the subject "What's My Next Theme?" then in the body of the message tell me what file you want and the format that you need it in.  Ok so if your guess was one of the above please email me.  Here is a link to email Carrie's Creations

The drawing will be done this evening- since I need my helpers!
Thank you for understanding, you are all so wonderful and thank you for playing!!!

Celebrate some savings for the 4th of July with 40% off!

Get ready to scrap this years 4th of July celebration!

Whether you are having a Independence day party at home or running off to the fireworks display you can pull together a quick and easy layout. To create this layout you will need photos from your family fourth of July celebration and some fireworks, card stock and the die-cut files below.

First, make sure you have your camera set to catch those spectacular fireworks and take many pictures!  You will need to have several shots of fireworks since it is so hard to catch a good quality explosion.  Take lots of pictures of your family and friends so you have many to choose from for that perfect layout.

After you have your photos printed unless of course you are digi-scrapping, you can begin cropping some mats.  Place the photos and mats on a black card stock, cut die-cuts from the files listed below, add some pop dots or a drop shadow.  Before you know it you will have one fabulous layout to place in your scrapbook.
The files below are now 40% off for your celebration, sale expires midnight 4th of July.  Just click on the link for each title and it will take you to the savings.

March Madness~ Circus Mega Pack ~ Goldfish Bowl

Today the sun is shinning in more ways then one…

our spirits are up here at the Schwartz household.  We had some fantastic news yesterday about Scott’s ct-scan, they found no tumors!  We couldn’t be happier and in some ways we wonder if possibly a miracle is happing? Only time will tell.

On Tuesday Scott will be meeting with his team of oncologist and I’m sure they will be scheduling an MRI, we are just hoping and praying that they will find that the tumors in Scott’s brain are gone.  Then we will be back to ct-scans every two months.

We continue to ask for prayers but we also want you to know the good news we received so your spirits will be uplifted too!

God is so merciful!

Over the last few weeks I struggled with some very dark days after getting the kids off to school I just wanted to climb back in bed.  As i turned more and more to designing I found that I was anxious to focus my attention on a creative outlet.  Instead of going back to sleep I found myself turning on the computer.   It was a struggle as I found that when Scott was down my spirit sunk too!  Having such a creative outlet kept my mind focused and work as any therapy could.

One of my newest designs “Goldfish Bowl” is now in the Paperthreads store.  I had so much fun making the file, and challenging myself to make it cut with as little of pieces as I could.  The file is all hand drawn from pictures I had seen on the web.  I just love this file and hope you will too!

CS00411

You can use this file as seen in the illustration or use the die-cuts scattered about your page.  I can just see some goldfish swimming all about a layout and the plant could be along side a picture…wouldn’t that be cute.

You can also use them on cards or use them on some wall art the best thing about most of our cutters is that fact that you can resize just about anything.

Also, new to the store “Circus Mega Pack”  which retails for $15.99 it’s a huge savings from buying each file separately.  Their are over ten files in this Mega pack with so many die-cuts and titles to help you create some awesome layouts of  your day at the circus.

CS00410

Not only will you have so much to make layouts with you can make some birthday cards too, or banners, or wall art.

Don’t forget if you make something with my die-cuts send me a picture that I can share on my blog I will give you an equal value file just for sharing.

Now the best part March Madness!  I’m having a sale every Friday through Saturday.  You can get some great savings on the weekends!  This Friday & Saturday all my files will be 45% off, the weekend of the 19-20 files will be 35% off and the last weekend of March all files will be 30% off.  This may catch you up on some of those files you have been dying to get!

All files are in gsd, ai, knk, wpc formats~  more then half are converted to svg if you purchase a file that hasn’t been converted just let me know I will be happy to send you the files, just send me an email with your receipt.

Enjoy the sales~

Enjoy custom quality cuts designed to make scrapping fun!

60 % off ALL files...with a couple Newbies!

Today you can get any file at 60% off...
I've never had a sale this big so if you were waiting today is the day!

Check out my newest files:

Birthday Card Organizer I was inspired to create some type of organizer for me to have some pre-made birthday cards on hand.  The organizer has two different pockets which you can use one per page or overlap giving you more places for storage.   I love the ease of how quickly this comes together!  Just cut the cover with double sides card stock, take the same card stock flip and cut using the cover to make the back, fold the lines on each edge match the holes. Once you have cut your insert pages and added the pockets you can start filling up your organizer.  There is a nice set of decorative tabs with labels.

Finding the right element for boys pages seem to be a little bit more of a challenge. That is why I have put together a package of gears, they are fun and a bit whimsical!  Let your imagination go when exploring this file, use them on cards, a layout or how about a mini-album.

Files are in the following formats: GSD, AI, KNK, WPC and SVG

Paperthreads Customer Appreciation Day

It’s that time of year again!  Can you believe it?

Paperthreads Customer Appreciation Day! It’s time to show you that we appreciate all of your support.  And I have so much to be thankful for from the outpouring of love that I have received from this community!  I just couldn’t let this day go bye with out joining in on your special day!

I am at awe with the with the response I have received form the moment my husband was diagnosed with small cell cancer.  First of all from Michelle Hessler, owner of Paperthreads who acted so quickly when she heard the news to calling upon the designers to put together a fundraiser for our family. The Vacation and Getaway package helped our family make our mortgage for three months as we waited for disability benefits to kick in.
It raised over three thousand dollars which allowed me to focus on the needs of Scott and my family rather then to worry about some of our bills.  From November to December we had some relief after the MRI showed that tumors where gone.
In January as I was preparing for my turn to host the membership club a new scan showed numerous tumors in Scott’s brain and spin. As I shared the latest news with Michelle she once again pulled together the designers of Paperthreads and began the Scrapbook Cards and More Quarterly Club Membership to benefit our family with love from designer friends of Carrie Schwartz.  The support once again is tremendous just knowing so many care gives us much comfort.

As I heard plans being made for CAD I just had to find the time to show my appreciation to all of you who have supported us here at Paperthreads and for  those who have showed their support by purchasing and donating to help our family in this difficult time that we are facing. It’s your day! I hope you  enjoy the sales, challenges and free files.

First I have a great sale going take 50% off ALL my files, I am about half way through the conversions for svg so if you purchase a file and it is not yet converted just shoot me an email and I get it right to you.  Please send a copy of your purchase and place in the subject of your email conversion for file or svg please something to catch my attention.  I do try to get to my emails at least twice a day.

My challenge- shhh sorry!  You will have to follow the link to the forum to see what this is about. Just to get you interested I have left you some pictures of some of the files that you will receive for this challenge!

BLOG HOP
Friends Mini-Album

Inspired by the outpouring love from friends, I designed this little mini-album. Most of the pages and albums that I have created are from my family. Well this year with the reuniting of so many high school friends, the caring friends from Paperthreads I thought it would be perfect to make a special album about them. Fill it with pictures, quotes and saying from those friends who are so near and dear to you.  Add some fibers, ribbons and you will have your very own special memory book.  EnJoY!
