New Files to keep you inspired....

Hello my fellow scrappers it's been a little over a week till my last blog! I'm sorry...I do want to thank EVERYONE for joining in on my sale! So many of you were very happy when it started, I was flooded with emails. The biggest surprise was when I heard that the ladies on the cruise powered up their laptops to get in on the sale! Thank you so much it's really encouraging to hear news like that!

I hope all of you have recovered from the cruise. I took a little mini vacation my self. Scott and I got away for an evening of romance, it was so needed! We dinned, danced and stayed away for a night. I came home so refreshed. Then a girl friend spent the night Friday through Sunday we caught up on twenty years of our lives. Which takes an entire weekend to do. It was so funny when we opened a bottle of wine my girls started text messaging our older children who had to come home and see mom drinking. Like I've never had a glass or two, but gosh this was big news...OK so it took the second bottle to get me dancing...but we had a great time!

Katie is off to Florida, I'm so jealous...not! If she went down the coast a bit I'd be really upset. She called three times yesterday checking in...she's such a good girl...She told me that their are thousands of people around her and she wished that they would have driven to Tampa. Well I think she has made up my mind for our vacation this year...I want to return to Redington Beach were we will have some privacy!

Julie & Kristen our preparing for their first communion. I just can't wait for them to be more in communion with our church! And this year when we visit our favorite place in the whole wide world (that's what my kids say and of course me), Catholic Familyland they will both participate in the procession wearing their white communion dresses. I'll have to have my camera by then!
I've been without my camera as it slowly breaks down...which is one of the reasons why blogging has been such a choir for me. I'd rather share it with pictures...which I'm going to be shopping for a camera this week... I'm looking into the Cannon Rebel.

Did you get to see the two files I happened to get into the store last week? My princess album and more princess die-cuts! I'm not crazy about the yellow background showing the album below...it's hard showing white on white...but it's an awesome album all ready with the cover, back and inserts for you to cut! I have special instructions in the zip file for binding the album. You can use this album after visiting any of the Disney theme parks or if you are having a Princess party! The idea came along with one of Brian's friends stopping bye to say hello. She asked me to design her an album to give to her customers at a beauty shop which they have Princess parties.

Princess slipper, crown & the Princess throne...you can use any of the die-cuts from this file for a Princess page or your album! I just love all this Princess themed stuff!

OH...did I mention my Princess clippies? They are coming out very soon! I am so excited about these little clippies and I know many of you are clip fans! I started to pull some pictures to possibly scrap some... if I ever get some time! I have a house full of princesses so many photos to scrap!

My newest Wedding line...

Katie and I were talking about her wedding...NOT that she's engaged yet! Don't worry friends and relatives you will be the first to know but we still talk about the one day big event! Anyway, after she and I spoke about the songs we will play and the gown she would wear I hopped in my car to run to the store...what's playing a wedding song! It brought tears to my eyes thinking how one day we will have to give up our precious first girl...Katie. I get silly like that...then another wedding song...OK what's going on...the radio station is having the Wedding contest as I listened I began to think...I need a Wedding line...and here it is...

I just love the elegance of these two Wedding Dresses! They are very easy to cut to have a beautiful die-cut to add to your album. If you look closely you can also the veil which was cut from vellum.

My Wedding Cake...decorate with your color theme and you will have the perfect die-cut to go with cutting the cake!

Every bride needs her special bouquet of flowers... this file contains different sized and shaped roses in full bloom with sprigs of different sizes to duplicate the brides bouquet. Place the die-cut on a page as the Bride throws her bouquet or a page that is all about the bride.

Needing a tuxedo? You could use this die-cut for a Wedding photo or how about when shopping for the suit?

The Brides Maids and flower girl dresses are beautiful and so easy to cut. Cut them in your favorite pattern papers or colors to match your Wedding.

Titles for the Wedding... I have three files full of titles to complete an entire album so you won't miss a thing...and they are all finished in the same font to have an elegant album when your finished. Showing are two of the titles soon to be released...I'm waiting for my third titles to get cut...which should be ready today or tomorrow!

Let's not forget the Limo! If you rode in style to the Wedding or out to Prom, I've created a Limo for those pictures! He's easy to cut and paste so that you will have more time to enjoy taking more pictures...

I hope you enjoyed the new files and I look forward to creating some really awesome die-cuts for you next week! I'm thinking spring, summer and lots of fun stuff all created by hand so you will receive an original piece of ART!

HaPpY ScRaPpInG!

Carrie

PS...now that I'm back from my mini-retreat I'll be sharing some great layouts that my CDT have made for you and to my much neglected group...I'm leaving you a file.
Thank you for all of your support!

It's been a very productive week! And I can't tell you how happy I am having my Creative Design team and my cutters. They are awesome ladies to work with. First of all when I send a file needing to get cut they return it faster than I can convert!

Then they turn around and tell me they will send me a layout. My CDT is working hard at some awesome layouts and projects to bring you inspiration! They don't just whip out a layout they spend time planning, after they step into their thinking room, well one of them has a thinking room and you know who you are!

This week one of my Creative Team Members sent me a couple of pictures to design a castle and then a carriage. Before this she had no idea what goes into the design process. We were on the phone almost every day! I would throw her a design and she would suggest more! She really worked me hard but I think you are all going to love the results. Each die-cut I created by hand drawing either by using the shapes, line tool and merging in my program and some of them I sketched on a pad of paper. This is how most of my die-cuts are created so that you will receive a unique one of a kind creation from me. You can see my newest line of Easter die-cuts and my Princess line below.

Now for some personal stuff... Scott and the kids surprised me this week, they are all so awesome! They planned on surprising me for Valentines but with Katie in college and the boys all working over time they just couldn't pull it together. So finally they told me that Katie and the boys are going to watch the little ones, that includes the pre-teens so that Scott and I get away.
Isn't that sweet of them! They pitched in to pay for dinner, entertainment and a hotel.

They think I need to get some rest! Well I have to agree! This is the first week since September that everyone has gone to school or work. Between the sicknesses and snow I've had someone here at least one day out of each week. So it's time to celebrate!

We are still looking for some beach some where? I love some of the suggestions i have received so far. Thank you as I look into the beaches, I'm looking for an area that isn't bombarded by people, but not over twelve hours away. Since we will be driving.

I'd like to tell you more about the week of snow and activities but Julie is preforming in a concert
in 30 minutes so I better go.

I will be leaving my special group a present tonight.

Thank you for all of your support!

Carrie

Oh...yeah...HaPpY ScRaPpInG!

I'm blogging.....

ok...ok...”I'm going to blog” is what I say to my newest mentor! She’s on me almost constantly that I have to keep this up and I come back with every argument that I can think of...like a little kid...”no mom I don't want to”...”but you have to”.

She tells me my blog sounds so professional. Well, I thought about that comment and came back to her later...ah, you didn't mean professional did you? You meant to say it's boring, it's dull. That's what you meant, huh... isn’t it?! She just laughed! And continued on with her plea...your readers don't know your personality. OK…then how do you show your personality in a one way conversation because that's what it is! I feel like I'm talking to myself! I am a people person. I love to converse, to socialize, to laugh, to have fun. How do I do that with my blog readers?

Just share your self...hmmm...but what do I share...what do they want to know? They want to know you. Well I'm just like all of them...maybe with a bit more drama going on with all these kids! And God knows I don't want to share all of that!

Tell them about the things your children do and what you do with them. Well, you know I don't like to write...I never did. It has always been a struggle for me. I never wrote letters until like my thirties and that's after throwing away several drafts. Well, you just have to get over it! So… I blogged the other day! You all saw it, didn’t you? I felt like I whined and whined...but she was very proud of me! But then said ok now that you blogged for the month we won't see you again. HUH! You have no idea how busy I am...blogging takes time...time away from me making die-cuts for them...BUT… they want to know more about you...

So, all night long I’m thinking… what should I tell them. Then my sister, Pam, calls. We had much to catch up on. While we are talking, she’s having a little trouble with her youngest girl then says to me…”Oh, Carrie, she’s almost as bad as you were!” Inspiration!

…here’s little tids bit about me:

Our nightly routine: When I was between eighteen months old and two, my parents would put me in my crib, giving me many hugs and kisses in hopes that I would go to sleep. But this is what would happen nightly!

Once the door was shut they would hear…smack…door creaking open, bitter batter- bitter batter, spank spank…Carrie go to bed! And over and over it would go.

Fast forward: At four years old, I had a peddle car and the mailman just loved me (rolling eyes)! I would take that little peddle car up a hill about a block. Then turn right and continue up a very steep hill about the length of two blocks, blocking all traffic and mostly the mailman. He would get out of his truck and say, “where do you live?” I always took him to my mom’s best friend’s house, Bev, who lived at the top of that hill. And She always got the blame for me driving in the street.

I loved ice cream! We lived about three miles from DQ (Dairy Queen) and I would get it in my mind to walk there, alone, across the busiest street until one of my mom’s friends would see me and bring me home.

Streaking: Ok I really gave my mother a hard time when it came to baths…I would take off into the neighborhood and she would have to make Kay or Pam chase me!

Shoes… who likes them?
As soon as I would get out our front door I would hide them…but never remembered where.

Now I just reminded my self how blessed I am with my kids!

Not many pictures of me when i was young...but you can see behind me the road I would begin my adventure on! Don't I look so innocent!

Ok mentor!!! Are you happy?

Wow....you guys are great! Thank you for joining me in my sale...and signing my blog...I'm going to allow some time for more entries so if you didn't get a chance yesterday I'll keep that going till this evening around 5:00. That way Julie, my 7 year old, will be home, hopefully all of her home work completed and we can draw a name. Are you the lucky winner????

Yesterday was a fun day for us. We needed to get out! I think cabin fever is setting in. Since my sister had the day off, we met with our girls, had lunch and went looking for some bargains. Kay's been working so hard so it was the perfect time to catch up. But did we get to catch up during our lunch...Noooooo.... We had four preteen age girls mocking everything we did. It all started with the Happy Meals Spiderwick gadget which I purchased for Lorelei, Julie & Jesse. As they passed around the little spy glass, Kay & I couldn't see the little shapes that were suppose to be coming off of one of the characters. I mean they stuck with this over fifteen minutes laughing at us. Well, finally someone checked the glass we were looking through and said "this ones not working".

Finally after everyone finished lunch, we thought we would let the little ones play in playland. We could talk and let the older girls visit. Did that happen? NOOOOOOO! It was such a simple plan but the girls insisted on climbing the tubes! Here they stood…right in the middle of the equipment making every type of excuse to get up those tubes. I was worried about them getting stuck and what the other parents would think. Here we are trying to sit, enjoy our time and having to argue with these girls. I tell them it's against the rules...so, one of the girls goes off and asked the manger what does she say....they can climb it. So now the battle continues as they have the official go ahead. While this is going on, they are standing in front of a slide. This little one year old comes down the slide and her mother is trying to get to her. I'm like…girls get out of there! For the next thirty minutes we get looks and comments from the girls....so Kay decides to treat them to some ice cream. At this time I just needed some coffee!!! We left playland to order their surprise. As we are standing in line waiting for them to hand us the ice creams we turn around. What do we see??? Four over sized pre-teen girls up in the tubes. I couldn't believe my eyes.....they were out of control! Needless to say they got there ice cream and left us alone.....

Well, then I see Jesse being surrounded by these three little boys. They are being totally silly running around screaming in each others’ faces. It was kinda of funny....till Jesse had enough. He gave one of the boys a push, then a side kick...like a little karate move (that he learned from his brothers!). The little boy was fine, like nothing happened but I couldn't stand for that behavior. So I pull him aside to let him know this is not how we handle things....I look over at Kay she's laughing....I give her that look like "What?????" she says "at least he'll be able to defend himself in school." Oh...I don't even want to think about it!

What a difference it is having my first three children! Life was so much easier. They were always a pleasure to take out...well, until we home schooled. But that' another story! You would think that Kay and I had enough! Oh, nooooo....we take them all shopping! I should have known better than to take two preteen girls, two seven year old girls and Jesse into any store! I guess I'm a glutton for punishment.

The first thirty minutes wasn't too bad. I took the little ones looking for shoes. Kay went off into the coats section and the "older" girls off to look at jeans. After we met up again, I asked the older girls to watch the younger ones so I could look through the home decor with Kay. And we handed out cell phones. So as we are enjoying a little talk, a little bit of sharing...finally hidden at one end of the store. My cell rings....Mom....Jesse, Julie and Lorelei are running away from us...I'm like where are you....over by the toys....you mean all the way on the other side of the store! Well, that was it about five minutes of catching up for us! And guess what?! When I get there, they are all together like nothing happened. So I realize what's going on here...our girls have hit the age.... Where it's fun to upset mom. It's fun to make fun of her. It's fun to see her going nuts and the four of them are just feeding each other with delight!

Ok....you girls give us fifteen more minutes...let us do some SHOPPING and we will take the little ones. If anyone MESSES UP, I'm not buying you anything. It worked! OK...so not it is check out time. Jennifer presented me her idea of a bathing suit for this year. Ummm...I'm not even thinking of bathing suits! It's 30 degrees outside!!! And WHY would she even think that I would buy such a suit?!!!! Let me just tell you…Jennifer is a bright girl, exceptionally bright however, it's either her way or the highway!!! So, here we are waiting in a long line, going back and forth with the same argument over a bathing suit! I finally just handed the itty-bitty thing over to my niece and said get rid of it! Kay once again is standing their giving me a look...."I've got the same argument but we don't start till the weather warms up." My look back at her......rolling eyes with a big snicker!

Well that was it our time had run out. We shared big hugs said our good byes...and took off for our homes. I guess lessoned learned, at least for me. When Kay and I want to catch up, we need to stick to the phone....or, better yet, sneak out to lunch ALONE!

You know what the funny thing is...this morning as I'm driving the girls to the bus stop listening to my morning show, which is sharing news on a new study..... St. Louis is #3 on the list of most stressful place to live...HMMMMM I wonder why?

It brings me great joy to share these wonderful images with you.....

Our GRAND PRIZE WINNER from the ATC challenge

Doreen & her son Ethan

I was touched by the story of how this card developed and I believe others were too!
Doreen wanted to create an ATC for the challenge. When Ethan found out her plan he stepped in and took over the creation of the card, creating the lettering. Doreen is such a patient mother and an inspiration to us all!

Thank you Ethan & Doreen for submitting and winning such an amazing ATC!

Shelly submitted this adorable card for the ATC challenge....it is so darn cute! I love her colors and the little details that she adds to her creations. But most of all her choice in the picture she used of her daughter...is that not a face!

Jessica submitted her ATC creation with this adorable card. Don't you just love all the stitching that she added to the edges!
Another ATC from Shelly... and what a cutie pie her little boy is! I love her idea of birthday ATC's.

Jessica surprised me with creating a baby diaper card...I just love the pastel colors that she used on this card.... Thank you Jessica!

Shelly showed us you don't have to be a grown man to play with tools! I love the bright colors that bring out her sons tools and his shirt. He's so lucky to have a mom making these memories for him to enjoy. Thank you Shelly!
