We must vote...the stakes are high!

I suppose I am in shock over the "Good People" in America, as I drive through neighborhoods seeing signs in support of Obama.

My reason for supporting John McCain really has nothing to do with our economy, it has nothing to do with health care and nothing to do with the defense of our county. My vote comes with the deep conviction that if we don't defend the weakest in our society then it truly will fail. We have had enough warnings telling us to defend life. Once we understand this as a nation we will be richly blessed.

Senator Obama's character is important! It is the fact that we must rely on heavily! Yes there is a lot of controversy over his relationships and they are all very questionable. We do have a right to know of these relationships. But the one I'm most concerned with is his relationship with Planned Parenthood and the promise he has made over one fundamental issue. Which the news has not allowed you to see.

You can view his promise that he made to Planned Parenthood, the FIRST thing he will do as President of the United States.

You can view this here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0__ctD48nfQ&feature=related
OK I just looked at the link to double check and amazigly it has been taken down, if you click on it you will see...so try this one

What is the promise? He promises to take away ALL restrictions for abortion. No counseling would be offered to any women seeking an abortion, no parental permissions would be sought. And our tax dollars would pay for abortions over seas in other countries. One has to ask themselves WHY? This is a mult-trillion dollar industry so I suppose the stakes are high for those who profit.

Read what the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops say about FOCA , which is the bill that Obama has promised to make into law. http://www.usccb.org/prolife/issues/FOCA/FOCA_FactSheet08.pdf

NO matter what one believes we can not stand for this action. It is the greatest evil of our time and we must heed the warnings, which I leave below.

It is said that when the Holy Father leaves a country his last message is the most important! Both Popes, Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict before departing America left the following message.

Pope John Paul II:
"America you are beautiful . . . and blessed . . . . The ultimate test of your greatness is the way you treat every human being, but especially the weakest and most defenseless. If you want equal justice for all and true freedom and lasting peace, then America, defend life."

Pope Benedict:

"Use your freedoms wisely." as he closed out his first papal trip to the United States.

He repeated a core message of his six-day pilgrimage — that faith must play a role in public life, citing the need to oppose abortion.

The unwavering truth of the Roman Catholic message, he said, guarantees respect for the dignity of all, "including the most defenseless of all human beings, the unborn child in the mother's womb."

And most recently left by Archbishop Raymond L. Burke

ROME (CNS)—The Democratic Party in the United States "risks transforming itself definitively into a ‘party of death,’" said U.S. Archbishop Raymond L. Burke, prefect of the Vatican’s highest court.

We should not take these statements lightly they are fundamental truths that should be yelled from the roof tops!

I have placed a link on the left of my page above Senator McCain's support for you to join the many of us who will be praying for this country. I hope you will join us in this prayer to thank God for the blessings we have had here in America, that is our Freedom! We must not enter into the Culture of Death any longer. HOW WILL WE EVER EXPLAIN THIS TO OUR CHILDREN or for that matter, when we die HOW WILL WE EVER EXPLAIN OUR VOTE TO OUR JUDGE?

God bless us & God forgive us!

Thank You!!! Too often we are afraid to share what we believe. I am proud of you for doing so. I firmly agree with you and our whole family is joining in prayer.

Joining in prayer! I'm so afraid for this election... My fears are just and prayer is the only thing we have! I totally agree with you on all your points! I am also very proud of you for not only sharing what you believe but to have the integrity to put it on your blog. Your values are high and your love of God shows in everything you do. God bless you and all of us!

I totally agree with you Carrie. I will NOT vote for someone who believes in same sex marriage nor abortion! People need to be careful the stakes are higher than most want to believe. I firmly believe prayer changes things.

Wow I certainly wasn't expecting to see this when I logged in to your blog today.

I have already voted & I support Obama, same sex marriage & abortion but it does not make me a bad person.

We are all allowed our own opinions.

Have a nice day.

I landed here by accident.
Interesting post, in retrospect.

Here's a very good documentary about the role of religion in this most recent election, after the smoke cleared.

peace be with you
