Easter projects that you will just love!

Created some lasting Easter Memories

easter_card_TinaTina, one of my CDT members has been very busy creating some awesome Easter ideas for you.

Create a simple Easter card using my chick file.  Just add a touch of yellow around the edges, make some dashed lines with a marker to the body and wings and add a goggle eye.  It's that simple!

Easter_Tina EASTER CENTER PIECE

Not sure what to place on your table this year?  Try one of these

Easter center pieces.

 Eastercenterpiece1

Using the same chick, from my chick file, Tina made these beautiful center pieces. Fill a vase with colorful raffia add some decorative Easter items then tie it with a colorful ribbon!  You'll have a beautiful addition for your table.

 Chick center piece

The chick was taken from the Easter Accordion Album. First the chick was cut with white card stock then sponged with yellow and orange palette inks.

Two goggle eyes were added to the face.  She found a little tin for a quarter and placed some white grass inside.

Happy Spring Sign

Happy Spring Sign

Another clever use of a file!  Tina took the bunny from the Easter Accordion album resized him and created this Happy Spring sign.  The title is mounted on a rectangle that has Velcro on the  back so she can switch out the message. I just love that idea!

Easter Layout

I created this Easter digi page using several files. Easter bunny,  Easter Basket full of Eggs, Flourishes and Playful tags were the files used to create this layout. The eggs are from the Easter Basket file I resized them and the flowers were taken from the playful tag file.  My thoughts were to use a variety of files that you already have.

The files below are ALL on sale from now until April 13th

All my files are 50 % off till 11:59 tonight!

I have some fabulous creations to share from Tina one of my CDT members who has been plugging away at making projects!

   Valentines: Love Word Album

I just love the colors and ribbon that Tina used on this album.

With the sale this album is only $ 1.75, that's until tonight!

You can see how she filed it up with photos and used ribbon to bind

  the album together.

HPIM0206

Tina also took my and changed the look by cutting in different colors!

She also added an extension to the album by cutting down some papers to use

as an insert.  I thought that was very clever!

With the 50 % off sale this album cover with inserts (not the inserts seen created by

Tina) is just $ 1.50!

HPIM0205    Have a great rest of your weekend!

Great layouts to try...

Sledding-Adventures-sm_Cher

Sledding Adventures

Cheri created this awesome layout.  She used deep tones for her background and a variety of winter blue scrap papers  which really set the mood for a sledding adventure.

On the sled she added some descriptive words: "covered in snow-",  "hat jauntily sideways-", "boots on the wrong feet-", "Then home for hot chocolate!" I just love the way she used the sled and just think down the road when they are looking back at the memories they will get a kick out of the boots on the wrong feet and the hat jauntily sideways!

materials used:  Kelly Pannacci (sp?) for Sandylion (also chipboard snowflakes), Basic Grey, unknown

cotton-candy-(Small)

            Cotton Candy

Who doesn't love Cotton Candy?  Rosalie caught some great pictures of her boys enjoying the sweet taste of cotton candy.  The colors are perfect with the soft pinks and blues. She used die cuts from my Cotton Candy file.  The titles, "Cotton Candy", "Sticky fingers", "sticky faces" are wonderfully placed on the page.  Notice how she changed the cotton candy?  Which I thought was so clever...she added cotton to  the top!  Making this layout good enough to eat!       CS00222

Birthday-Girl-Jessica

Birthday Girl

Jessica's two page "Birthday girl" layout is one to celebrate! By using bright vivid colors Jessica shares the happy occasion. To unify the top four photos she made use of the playful banners: frills by making it a birthday banner, all she did was add the letters for birthday.  Then continued her title with the circle tags and word "girl" below.

The ribbons at the top of the right photo bring the eyes to the focal photo.  By placing little birthday clippies on the edge of the photos she carries out her theme.  A cup cake accent is added to complete the two page layout.

Hard at Work

Michelle P. sent in this two page layout Hard at Work and received files of equal value for her share.

Using several die-cuts, titles and borders from the Handyman Tools pack  she created a layout that works!  The nuts & bolts border was cut four times in two contrasting colors and placed opposite sides of the page giving the layout some balance.  She randomly placed tool die-cuts and Handyman Titles to add to the theme.  The photos are accented with tool clippies,  which completes a fun layout to follow!  Thank you for sharing Michelle!

SO What's New?

CS00371

 EASTER ACCORDION ALBUM

Create your very own Accordion Easter Album by following along with the illustrated instruction included in the files.

The accordion album measures 6" X 3 1/8" folded, the cover measures 6 1/4"  X 4 1/4".    The album includes the cover and a three section album with a strip for binding, so that you can add as many sections to your album.  Although the cover was made to hold a six section accordion album so you may consider creating the album with out the cover.

Adorn the album with many pieces: a beautiful flourish, the title "Easter", a risen cross, a flower tag (not shown), two floral and butterfly borders, a lily, tulips, three other flowers, a fence, grass, a bunny with carrot, a chick, twelve large eggs with a variety of ways to decorate, a small egg with three ways to decorate, a rabbit's foot (not shown).

The file has twenty eight die-cuts for you to have fun with not counting the album and the cover!  After downloading you will find the album is in two files since it is so big.  Unless you are cutting on  Robomaster or Wishblade the .gsd format is in four files so beware it is gigantic.

The album is fun for children to receive or make one for a special friend.  In my personal album left the three small eggs, the bunny, the carrot and  the chick loose so that my children can play with them by placing them in different pockets. The Easter Accordion Egg album will remain a treasured keepsake for our household.

The album sells for $14.99 but you can get it this weekend for 40 % off...actually all my files will go on sale tonight at midnight and be on sale all weekend long so you have time to get what you have been waiting for.

Hope you enjoyed the layouts and the sale!

Stay up with the Paperthreads EZine and more...

Have you had a chance to read the February Paperthreads EZine? There's a lot going on that you don't want to miss out on so click on the link today and catch up on all the news!

here are a few new files in the store...

CS00360

Valentine: Purr-fect Card with envelope

You know the little card exchange that children do at Valentines? Well this card was designed for quick cutting!

My inspiration came from the need for speed since these cards are given to an entire classroom. Included in the zip file you will find the kitty, Purr-fect title, the card, TO & From and the envelope.

The folded card measures 3 X 4 inches and fits snug in it's envelope.

Valentine Square Elements:

CS00361

You are just going to love this file! I started out with three squares that had over lapping images. I sent them to my cutter and then it hit me, some of those squares could be mixed! Now there are fifteen possibilities with this file! I just love it when I can find more uses for a file don't you?

Use the elements on candles, gift bags, cards, layouts on boxes they are easy to cut and make a wonderful addition to your paper craft. Oh and don't forget to use them as mask!

Kids Valentine: U R Dino Mite

CS00363 When it comes time to exchanging Valentines you don't want to work hard! Create this simple Valentine in just a few minutes. The file includes the dinosaur, titles "U R Dino-Mite", "TO" and "From", a card and envelope with settings to cut your dashed lines. Before you know it you will have a whole bunch of unique home made cards to give away at the Valentines party.

Mini Accordion Album

CS00367

Perfect for your purse or as a card this mini accordion album measures 3 X 4 inches. I designed it so that you can assemble it rather quickly. You will find that there are two patterns with pockets attached, so all you have to do is fold them up and adhere the sides. I also have included the outline of pockets just in case you want to use solid card stock rather then two sided pattern paper. This way you can use contrasting colors. One the far left of the picture you can see a hidden pocket, this folds down and remains secure by it's flap. Use the hidden pocket for journeying or more pictures, you can add up to three in this pocket. The little swirls are free standing for you to add as corners any use where ever you would like. You will also get two different style mats to complete your album as seen.

Now don't forget to read that newsletter it has important information that you don't want to miss!

Hope to see you Monday!

Make something special for you Valentine!

New for Valentines coming to my Paperthreads store soon!

Each design is carefully hand drawn so that you are receiving an original die-cut! Yep even the hearts are created by hand! My die-cuts are cut and tested before ever going into the store so that you are receiving a quality file. If you ever have any problems just email me by clicking the link on my side bar. After downloading the file you will receive the image, illustrated instructions and file formats of .gsd, .ai, .KNK and .wpc.

CS00352 Love Word Album

When you open this file you will not only get the outline of the word album, you will also have the letters and hearts, this way you can cut your letters and hearts in a different pattern paper. It's so easy to make just follow along with the illustrated instructions and you will have this cut in no time.

Once you are finished cutting bind with your favorite ribbon or fibers.

Use the Love Word Album as a unique display on a shelf! Or make one as a gift.

CS00353Love Angels

I wanted to create something for those who like the look of elegance yet don't want the tedious work in a detailed file. The love angels I believe give a look of elegance to any paper project. You can use them on cards, in a scrapbook page or a Wedding invention.

You can also use the design on a candle, just wrap it around a thick candle and adhere. Use the love angels as a mask to create a unique background or decoupage onto a "treasure" box!

The treasure box could be filled with all of your favorite memories, cards or notes from you love.

CS00354

Heart and Cupid Borders

I just love the look of a border! You can do so much with the them, like place a title over them, make a unique frame. Use them as a mask to create your own scrap book pages.

The list goes on if you just think of how you can use them! How about wrapping around a box or candle? And don't forget to use them on a card!

CS00355

Heart Frame

Have a special picture you would like framed? The heart frame is already for you to size to your needs. It's easy to cut and as a bonus use the little insides as corners!

Valentine Muse

CS00356

I just love creating a muse!

The challenge to make a usable muse is always worth the work! What I really love about using a muse is the fact that you have a theme, all in one! AND all you need is just one piece of card stock.

Use the muse for a background for a photo or title. Make a mask with it, I happen to like creating my back ground pages...can you tell?

Valentine Oval Title

CS00357

The Valentine Oval Title is made up of three merged ovals that you layer on top of each other. What is fun about this one is you can cut each layer in different patterns to fit your theme.

Use the title for cards, a scrapbook memory page or use as in your favorite paper craft project.

CS00358

Cupid Love Angel

He's ready to bring some love to your pages, a simple cut to get what you want! Use the four die-cuts in this file together or size them for using each piece alone. The bow and arrow would make a unique corner on a photo or mat.

The cherub can be used besides a title or to fill up some negative space on your page.

CS00359

CUPIDS paper piecing's

I have to admit these are my very favorite!!! I don't believe my pictures came out as cute as the originals. I've been running around the house sharing them with everyone and they agree how cute they are!

I strive to make my paper piecing's as easy as I can so you have the least amount of piecing's to adhere.

The file includes a step by step illustrated instructions to make the cherubs as shown. You will need an acid free maker to add the eye brows and eye lashes. Everything else is there for you to make.

Some times I am asked what product do I use to adhere the little pieces. My favorite product is "YES" paste. I like this product since the paste sticks and has proven to "stay"! When using "YES" paste for little pieces like the eyes, nose and mouth I use a very thin brush. I also use the paste on bigger projects like my growth chart. If you use a credit card you can get a thin layer down on your paper to stick to anything. Once again it has always proven to stay!

If you are new to my work you might want to check out all of my previous Valentine files in my store. There are titles and wonderful die-cuts that can help you make something special this year. Watch for my sales to get them at a discount, I'll be running many sales this month.

Thank you for looking at my new die-cuts and most of all thank you for purchasing my files!

Do you want to see the ad that NBC has rejected to air?

Gosh I was so exited when I received an email that CatholicVote.org was trying to raise enough money to run this ad during Super Bowl!

Well NBC and the NFL have rejected the ad saying that they are not interested in advertisements involving ‘political candidates or issues.’

But the good news since NBC and the NFL have rejected the ad more attention has been drawn to it! FOX News, Bill O'Reilly aired the commercial on his show Wednesday night calling it “brilliant” and “genius." His show reaches over 4 million viewers! CatholicVote.org site has had over 1 million views in two weeks...whoo hoo...can you imagine? 1 million hits?

So let's keep this ad going! Share it with your friends and family! How about watching it during a commericial break during the Super Bowl? Think we could get a million people to watch it then...that would be like an amazing statement!

To watch the ad CatholicVote.org

Let's make this the most watched commercial in US history!

Thank you!

Let's have a drawing!

I know how much you love a chance to win some new files!  So let's have a drawing but this time we will draw to names for two different files... want to see the files you could win?

Family Word Album- this is a great little mini album that you can also use as a display!

CS00331

You not only will get the outline of each page and letter but the letter too!

This way you can change your pattern paper to any color you like!

Once you have everything cut then bind with some fibers or ribbon inserting them into the preset holes.  Add your favorite photos and you will have a wonderful family keepsake!

Or how about this one?

Your very own Personal Planner!

CS00332

Begin this year by getting organized!  With twelve pages having tabs for the months of the year.

The cover page can be cut several times to be used as inserts.

Use the pages as a journal, we all need to journal more! You can use the calendar grid and place it on a page to keep track of up coming events or holidays.  Also included in this file are the twelve month titles so you can title each tabbed page.

Finish your Personal Planner by adding the title "My Personal Planner" with or with out a mat.  Once everything is cut binding is easy by following the preset holes or use your favorite binding method.

I've also included a "2009" book mark ready  to thread with your favorite colored ribbon or fibers.  This can be easily attached to the album.  Use the book mark to open where you left off from the last time you made a journal entry.

So what do you think ladies? Do you want to try to win one of the files?

Leave your name and city by clicking on "comments" at the end of this post  then on Sunday we, my kids and I, will draw two names and post the results!

And if you are just to anxious to wait All of my files are 40 % off this weekend so you can get them for a great price and start planning your year or make a nice family mini album.

See you Sunday night!

Carrie
