I can't believe Christmas is almost here!

Greetings from the Schwartz family!

I hope that all is well with you and your family!  It has been a very long time since I've posted, designed or interacted with any of my Paperthreads customers.  I really miss all of you!

Our life has changed drastically while continuing to care for my husband Scott.  He is on his fourth regimen of chemo, they are trying a new medicine to fight off the tumors that are growing.  It has been a challenge for us all but we are all so thankful for each day that we have with him.

I am so very grateful for the continual prayers!

My Christmas files are all 40 % off!  You can click on the link in the upper right corner to see if you could use a file or two to help you create some Christmas memories.  Have a wonderful Christmas!  ~ Carrie

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

It's a pass time we all love! One that unites us in many ways. Sharing our moments and cherishing our creations! Through our passion of scrapping we have formed great friendships and fostered old ones.

Just think how many times have you called or emailed or even posted over this passion we share? Like sharing news of a great sale going on at Paperthreads or Hobby Lobby or the newest line of papers that you just saw at your local scrapbook store? AND when your stuck, you know you can always get help! By posting to a forum or a group to get that answer you need. If it's trying to figure out a setting for your machine or why your paper shoots out at a rapid speed. You know that someone will come along that can give you the information you need.

CS00392

Of course we can't forget the many times we have laughed the times we have cried sharing our life stories through our pages, a phone call or reading from blogs. I can't imagine any other pass time that has brought so many together in such short amount of time. This is why we celebrate, it is how we are united and I'm proud to be apart of National Scrappers' around the world.

In honor of National Scrapbook day I have designed some special die-cuts just for spring. My Spring Square Elements are perfect for your layouts, cards or special out of the box projects. Each spring square element is unique and as always hand drawn so that you will have an original die-cut.

Stay up with the Paperthreads EZine and more...

Have you had a chance to read the February Paperthreads EZine? There's a lot going on that you don't want to miss out on so click on the link today and catch up on all the news!

here are a few new files in the store...

CS00360

Valentine: Purr-fect Card with envelope

You know the little card exchange that children do at Valentines? Well this card was designed for quick cutting!

My inspiration came from the need for speed since these cards are given to an entire classroom. Included in the zip file you will find the kitty, Purr-fect title, the card, TO & From and the envelope.

The folded card measures 3 X 4 inches and fits snug in it's envelope.

Valentine Square Elements:

CS00361

You are just going to love this file! I started out with three squares that had over lapping images. I sent them to my cutter and then it hit me, some of those squares could be mixed! Now there are fifteen possibilities with this file! I just love it when I can find more uses for a file don't you?

Use the elements on candles, gift bags, cards, layouts on boxes they are easy to cut and make a wonderful addition to your paper craft. Oh and don't forget to use them as mask!

Kids Valentine: U R Dino Mite

CS00363 When it comes time to exchanging Valentines you don't want to work hard! Create this simple Valentine in just a few minutes. The file includes the dinosaur, titles "U R Dino-Mite", "TO" and "From", a card and envelope with settings to cut your dashed lines. Before you know it you will have a whole bunch of unique home made cards to give away at the Valentines party.

Mini Accordion Album

CS00367

Perfect for your purse or as a card this mini accordion album measures 3 X 4 inches. I designed it so that you can assemble it rather quickly. You will find that there are two patterns with pockets attached, so all you have to do is fold them up and adhere the sides. I also have included the outline of pockets just in case you want to use solid card stock rather then two sided pattern paper. This way you can use contrasting colors. One the far left of the picture you can see a hidden pocket, this folds down and remains secure by it's flap. Use the hidden pocket for journeying or more pictures, you can add up to three in this pocket. The little swirls are free standing for you to add as corners any use where ever you would like. You will also get two different style mats to complete your album as seen.

Now don't forget to read that newsletter it has important information that you don't want to miss!

Hope to see you Monday!

Carrie's Creations CDT Call

Have you ever wanted to be apart of Carrie's Creations Design Team?

I'm putting out the call ladies for six fresh new faces to join my AwESoME team of Creative Designers. It's a great way to challenge yourself!

Here is what I'm looking for:
  1. sketches- two cdt members to provide sketches, every other week.
  2. two cdt members to create a layout from the sketches, every other week.
  3. two cdt members to create cards or projects using my files every, other week.

What you will receive:

If you want to provide the sketches you will have the first choice of any files in my store. But you must incorporate the die-cuts into the sketch.

The two cdt members who create layouts for me will receive the files to complete the layouts following the sketch.

Two cdt members creating cards or projects will get to choose files from the store to complete there card/project.

What you need to do to apply for a position:

  1. sketches- if you love to make your own sketches then this is right for you! Email me a request for a file to incorporate into a sketch. Please put in the subject of the email "sketch". You will then have three days to complete your sketch using the file that you requested then email a jpg back to me. Unless of course you have some of my files you can then just submit your own sketch using one of my files.
  2. if you are interested in creating layouts following sketches email me a request for any file to complete the sketch displayed. You do not need to use the acorn/maple leaf files, I want to see what you can do with any of my files using the sketch. Please put in the subject line "sketch layout" when making the request. You will then have one week to create a layout following the sketch and to have a jpg sent back to me.
  3. if you love creating cards or home decor projects please email me by requesting a file or files that you will use to create one of the projects. You will then have one week to get a jpg of your design back to me. Please put in the subject line of the email "cards/projects".

What you need to understand:

Each CDT member will be expected to sign an exclusive contract with Carrie's Creations. The contract will expire in six months. I expect submissions sent to me every other week, no exceptions! If you don't feel like you can keep up then I wouldn't apply for this position. You can always send me your creative ideas to receive free files. :0

The call for new CDT members will be open from now until October 15th.

The benefits of joing a CDT are wonderful! You will get free files. You will find that you are using your cutting machine instead of just collecting files :0 You will see more pages scrapped! Whoo whoo...now isn't that the reason we all began?
